I'm not sure I can keep doing this

A few months ago, I was invited to speak at a conference for foster parents, adoptive parents, and caregivers. The workshop title stopped me: “I’m Not Sure I Can Keep Doing This.” Behind those words were people who had opened their hearts and homes to children from hard places. They loved deeply. Yet challenging behaviors, emotional exhaustion, and repeated disappointments had left many wondering how much longer they could continue.
